2010 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic sedan

Finally an option available from Mercedes-Benz for the family man, or simple guy out there looking for the perfect car. You might try a AMG E63 if you’re a speed maniac, the E350 is all about equilibrium and a bit of everything. Like Mercedeses of old used to be…

The exterior of the new E-class sedan is classic, in both meanings of the term. Bigger than both the C-class players out there and it’s coupe sibling from the E-class, the E350 is just stunning and no more to add beyond what each viewer can see in the gallery. Thank God for quality photos, right? Rounder square lights are what gives the car a new fresh look, and the rear lamps swash across the tail more expressively than before. The lines lean forward as you look at the E350 from the side, giving it a ferocious look you wouldn’t have expected at first sight of this classy gentleman in it’s fitting suit.

The interior is what could be described as a step ahead looking back (don’t do that you’re sure to stumble over): the new E features a large LCD and spiffy gauges in the panel, all the gadgets and quality materials you would expect from a 2010 German sedan, mechanized buttons and switches that all add to the feeling of perfection; but in the same time the lines are reminding us of the legendary E300, red-brown tone, a large wheel and straight angles to the architecture of the panel that seem to underline the best spot in the car: the driver’s seat. Noteworthy are also the optional Drive Dynamic seats, which were recommend through reviews for their massage option, and that for only $650.

Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessey combines the most athletic British model with the most doped GM engine and resulting Hennessey Venom GT model, a missile with a ratio of about 3.3 pound / HP.

Lotus Elise is, without doubt, a standard of agility and the LS9 engine, on the Corvette ZR1, is also, standard on American brute force. What happens if it put in the same tube? It results a bomb on four wheels, with a power of 725 HP and a weight of 2361 pounds. The body is integrally of carbon fiber. The Weight-Power report is only slightly lower as on Hayabusa.

2010 New York Auto Show: Volkswagen Polo named World Car of the Year

Volkswagen’s Polo has been honoured as the 2010 World Car of the Year.

With 59 automotive journalists from around the world judging, the Polo topped 29 other nominees. Announced today at the New York Auto Show, the annual World Car of the Year awards recognize the year’s most outstanding vehicles based on merit, value, safety, environmental impact, significance and emotional appeal.

The latest generation of the Polo has quickly become a favorite in the brand’s lineup. More than 230,000 customers worldwide have placed orders for the newest version of Volkswagen’s popular subcompact vehicle.

The World Car jurors hail from 25 countries, and are appointed by the World Car Steering Committee on the basis of their expertise, experience, credibility, and influence. Each juror drives and evaluates new vehicles on a regular basis as part of his or her full-time professional work.

That wasn’t the only award for Volkswagen. The automaker’s BlueMotion models were awarded Green Car of the Year by World Car jurors, defeating two other finalists — the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius.
